Personalized Jewelry Gifts for Mom
I don’t know about you, but I am a total sucker for unique one-of-a-kind jewelry and kid-made keepsakes. My daughter and I have a collection of homemade gift ideas that are always a hit with friends and family. For example, I LOVE my keepsake jewelry dish!
One of my favorite jewelry pieces is a thumbprint heart necklace with my daughter’s artwork encased in a gorgeous charm. I love to wear it on a long sparkling moon-cut chain–the perfect gift for any mom or grandma!!
Another fun handmade necklace is a homemade mom or mum necklace that the kids can also make for grandma or nana. Or, invite children to make a DIY mother-daughter jewelry gift set with matching necklaces or bracelets. Click the link for the DIY details.
Other beautiful personalized necklace options that you can buy, and I would love, ahem, are:
- Personalized birthstone initial necklace gift for her
- Birth month flower necklace for mom
- Name necklace personalized for mom
I am also in love with this two circle pendant necklace and sweet, delicate name rings that you can personalize with words, personal names, phrases, and dates. Yes, please!
Another item that has been on my wishlist forever is a pair of diamond stud earrings. I don’t know many mothers out there that wouldn’t love a lovely necklace, bracelet or, pair of earrings with a couple of gorgeous gems–diamond or not. (Are you paying attention, husband?)

Warm Comfy and Cozy Gifts for Her
Wrap mom up in this large tartan blanket scarf
and watch her drift away to happy land—a staple for every woman’s closet. And, if you want to make her swoon–gift her with a lambswool cape or 100% cashmere extra-large wrap–I would buy one of these in every color if I could afford it. Both are like wearing a hug she’ll never want to give up.
A few years ago, I found a pair of booties like these ladies’ sweater knit booties, which forever transformed my winter home life. I like to go outside without ruining my slippers when I need to grab something out of the garden.
Since then, I have also fallen in LOVE with acorn slouch boots and slippers that are super cute and strong enough to run errands. Who needs shoes when you have these? I guarantee mom will want more than one pair of these!
Another item that has forever changed my home life is robes and wool throw blankets–both made nursing a newborn much more comfortable. And, because I had my baby in the heat of summer, I first fell in love with this long Kimono robe.
But today, I want to pamper myself in the summer with a Kimono robe that is 100% silk, isn’t it gorgeous? There is also a short silk kimono robe available that is equally amazing.
For the winter, I want the new loves of my life to be a cashmere robe and a pair of cashmere pajamas
. Oh, and of course, I would also love another cashmere sweater
and a cashmere scarf
to go with it. And, yes. I am totally and completely in love with wool and other natural fabrics–and I’ll guarantee your mother will love them too!
Cute and Casual Gifts for Mom
As a work-at-home mom that was once a yoga teacher, I can’t do without my favorite yoga pants and my membership to Gaia Yoga (not affiliated–just sharing what I love). These crop yoga pants and capris are also a must-have in multiple colors for this mom.
Speaking of yoga pants, fun graphics are super popular these days, and my favorites are these fireworks yoga photo leggings. Since I first published this post in 2016, however, I have become obsessed with finding yoga pants made with wool and other more sustainable natural fabrics instead of plastic fabrics like polyester. I have always loved Lululemon–and I was an ambassador for their products as a yoga instructor and fitness professional, but today I love wool leggings more. Not only are they as cute as they are stylish and comfortable–they are better for the planet–and better for mom.
Best Wool Leggings for Her:
A few wool brands that make leggings strong enough to be used as running or yoga pants, and joggers strong enough to stand up to days with kids at the park, are Woolx, Ibex, Icebreaker, Ridge, and Woolly. They each have lots of fantastic yoga pants options available that are not see-through–and oh so comfortable–I never want to take them off. Just make sure you purchase the midweight and heavyweight options–not the thin base layers–so she can wear them as pants for a yoga class, out on a hike, a bike ride, to the office, and even out to dinner!
EveryDAy OuterWear For aLL SuperMoms
If mom likes cute and casual, she will love this cotton hoodie–I own three. They are fashionable, made to last, come with all sorts of bells and whistles to keep warm on the go, and fit to flatter anybody.
Another of my old favorites is the Osito Jacket.
It’s such a soft and comfy polar fleece sweater that mom will never take it off! And, it pairs nicely with a vest
too.
But today, as already mentioned, I collect all my sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets in wool. Woolovers, Woolx, Woolly, Ibex, Icebreaker, Orvis, Aran Sweaters, Garnet Hill, and of course Pendleton are my go-to brands for sweaters, flannels, jackets, and other outerwear options for women that mom will love.
I encourage you to search their online stores to see all of their fantastic wardrobe offerings. Each company has fashionable, cute, and super comfortable clothing for every kind of mom–and I promise that she will LOVE anything you choose. What’s not to love when you’re wearing natural itch-free wool?

Every Moms Must-Have Wardrobe Staple
Another wardrobe staple that I love and wear more than anything I own as a mom–because they are tough and packable keep you warm when you need it, have pockets, and work with absolutely everything–a vest.
This Omni-Heat Vest is one of my current favs, and when my daughter was a baby and toddler, it was this down sweater vest. I seriously don’t know how I ever lived without either of them.
And, best of all, vests can be dressed up or down and pair well with just about anything. They are great for heading to the park or store, heading out on the town, going for a bike ride, hiking, and camping. And, of course, I have found a few fantastic wool versions by Woolx, Ibex, and Icebreaker that I adore, and I guarantee your mom will love them, too.

Kitchen Gift ideas for Mom
The best thing that ever happened to me in the kitchen was when I found this cook and pour saucepan! Its brilliant design allows you to pour water out of the pan without losing its contents–no colander needed! Its intelligent design makes it easy to steam vegetables and cook mac and cheese for the kids like a pro.
Another one of my favorite things in the kitchen that I use daily is an electric kettle with pre-set temperature options–love! I like to know that I am heating water to the correct temperature for the various teas I enjoy.
This durable cast iron teapot with a fully enameled interior is my favorite teapot. The gradual and even heating from the cast iron infuses the most significant amount of flavor from the tea leaves into the water. Not only does this strengthen the taste of the tea, but it can infuse the positive nutrients from the leaves into the water.
When I feel like a cup of coffee, I use this stainless steel french press with fresh ground organic coffee beans that I grind with this excellent little coffee grinder. Mmm–mmm good!
And here’s an 18oz coffee mug that mom is sure to love–trust me–mom needs more than 12 ounces! Or, try this gorgeous set of 21oz mugs for mom.
I have been dreaming of owning a Vitamix Blender for many years now. It doesn’t come cheap, but it is the very best of the best, and I must have one. As someone who likes to cook from scratch and make green smoothies daily, this is a must-have that is still on my wishlist!
Another kitchen item I still dream of owning is a stand mixer. These are powerful enough for nearly any task or recipe, whether you’re stirring wet and dry ingredients together, kneading bread dough, or whipping cream. If your mom does not have one, I bet it’s probably on her wish list, too.

Gift Ideas for Mom on the Go
When on the go, there are four things I must have besides my wallet, phone, and keys:
- A nice looking mom bag that is as practical at the park as it is for date night, with lots of room for this and that. Or, a practical purse for mom with easy to reach spots for her phone, keys, sunglasses and a water bottle holder, too! And, here’s an excellent small purse for those on the go minimalist days.
- A large reusable insulated mug with a cafe’ cap for coffee and/or tea. And, it works just as well for cold drinks too!
- A styling food grade steel reusable water bottle. Click through to see the other sizes and styles to choose from.
- The best lip stuff on earth! As a woman that was an ocean lifeguard for 20 years, I have tried more than my fair share of chapstick varieties. This is the only one that keeps my lips feeling soft and supple morning, noon and night indoors and out–year after glorious year. My one and only true lip love, and the perfect item for moms stocking!

Relaxation Gift Ideas for Mom to Help Her Relieve Stress
My favorite ways to relax and relieve stress are practicing yoga, taking a bath with homemade bath salts, coloring, getting outside in nature every day, and curling up with a warm wool blanket and my Kindle to read.
I don’t think I could survive motherhood without my Kindle–I can’t tell you how many books I have read one-handed while breastfeeding over the years. It even has a light so you can read in the dark without disturbing the snoring bear next to you on those nights you can’t sleep.
The warm glow and negative ions that a Himalayan Salt Lamp provides are also a must-have in our home. We have 4 in our house, and I STILL want another one! You will never need another night light again with these in your home.
